Announcement of the introduction of 'XChat' to compete with WhatsApp

Elon Musk, the owner of X, has announced the introduction of ‘XChat’ to replace WhatsApp’s direct messages.

According to the report, the feature will include disappearing messages and ‘Bitcoin-style’ encryption, making it similar to traditional messaging apps like WhatsApp or Telegram.

Elon Musk announced a new feature through a post on X yesterday, which includes advanced features like end-to-end encryption, disappearing messages and audio/video calls across platforms.

This new feature is designed to compete with popular messaging services like WhatsApp, Telegram and Instagram DM, which claim to provide users with a seamless and secure messaging experience.

XChat is a modern and fully updated version of XApp’s old direct message system. It aims to provide users with a secure, fast and feature-rich messaging service.

XChat will offer users features like end-to-end encryption, self-destructing messages after a specified time, file sharing, and voice/audio calling.

It should be noted that after buying Twitter in October 2022 and renaming it X, Elon Musk has made several changes to the platform and has presented plans to integrate a payment system with it and make it a global marketplace.
