PTA warns users about 'SIM'

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has warned users about ‘SIM’.

On the social media platform Facebook, the PTA wrote that the SIM must be registered in your name. Your SIM should not be used by a stranger.

The PTA says that criminal elements can use your stolen information to obtain illegal mobile SIMs in your name, which can be used for fraud, other illegal activities and terrorism.

The PTA says that to find out the number of SIMs in your name, visit cnic.sims.pk, or send your National Identity Card number to 668.

Immediately block any SIM registered in your name that is not being used by you.
